Commercial diving is hands-on from day one, and having the right gear ready before you arrive makes the transition into training a lot smoother. Below is the complete list of personal equipment required for FCDI’s commercial diving programs — safety glasses, a hard hat, PFD, log book, wetsuit or dry suit, fins, dive gloves, welding hood, and more — along with current estimated pricing.

Items marked in bold on the list (like safety glasses, hard hat, PFD, log book, handbook, workbook, and FCDI t-shirt) must be purchased through FCDI directly. Everything else — wetsuits, boots, masks, fins, and similar personal gear — can be purchased either from FCDI or from an outside dive/marine supply vendor, as long as it meets the required specifications.
